Laurelhill Community College take NI Schools' Cup
Keyhole Surgery Locksmiths would like to congratulate Laurelhill Community College in winning the NI Senior Schools’ Cup recently at Dungannon Swifts ground.
It was a momentous occasion for all involved as it is the first time in 31 years that the Schools Cup has been brought back to Lisburn. It was one of the most exciting youth matches that Andy Wilson of Keyhole Surgery has seen.
With Laurelhill taking the lead 1-0 in the first half, then down to 10 men in the second, St Columbs equalised to bring the match to 1-1 at the end of normal time. Laurelhill scored again in the first period of extra time, only to have the goal disallowed due to off-side. St Columb’s themselves were reduced to 10 men when the match was in stalemate after extra time.
A marvellous penalty shoot-out ended the Cup-tie with Laurelhill victors after sudden death. Keyhole Surgery has awarded the Laurelhill Goalkeeper ‘Man of the Match’ as he had an outstanding game.
All in all it was a great achievement to see Andys old school win the cup, whilst proudly displaying the Keyhole Surgery Locksmiths’ sponsored shirts.
